William Schwartz is a professor in the Department of Computing at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He completed a post-doctoral internship at the Computing Institute of the State University of Campinas, with a FAPESP scholarship (2010-2012). He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a CAPES/Fulbright scholarship (2010). He holds a master’s degree in IT from the Federal University of Paraná (2005) with a scholarship from CNPq. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Paraná (2002). His areas of interest include computer vision, biometrics and image processing.
